UN Initiatives

The Learning Initiative for Entrepreneurs (LIFE) programme is teaching aspiring and established entrepreneurs business skills and IT tools in the areas of marketing, operations, communications and finance.

The AICEI assists in developing start-up entrepreneurs (Enterprise Creation Program), as well as representing a major mechanism for upgrading and expanding existing MSMEs (Enterprise Growth Program).

The EDIP provides training on identifying business opportunities, developing business plans, strengthening entrepreneurial competencies and acquiring the essential skills to manage a small venture.

UNCITRAL provides a legislative guide on how to make registering easier for SMEs. It presents streamlined and simplified registration procedures to reduce the registration burden and cost for businesses. 

The platform empowers women to achieve their economic potential by inspiring both women and men to become advocates, change makers and leaders. It provides resources, opportunities and a global platform for networking and learning.  

The site provides information for SMEs to build responsible and sustainable businesses in a national context. It demonstrates that responsible business practices, alongside collaboration and innovation, can stimulate powerful change in markets and societies. 

The UN Technology Innovation Labs (UNTIL) Center help businesses use technology innovation to achieve SDGs. UNTIL Egypt supports projects and tech-solutions that address SDGs 2,3, 4 and 12. 

The UN-Business Action Hub is a an interactive online platform designed to match UN and business to advance the SDGs. Both UN and Businesses can post projects and use the platform to search for and interact with potential partners.

The SDG Accelerator is a program that aims to support business solutions with the SDGs. Participating companies receive guidance and a comprehensive method to develop new products, services or business models that address the challenges of the SDGs. 

Innovation Accelerator provides support to innovations and high-potential solutions that aim to end hunger worldwide. You can apply for financial support, mentorship and access to WFP operations, partners & technical experts.
